आजीची पेटी is a Marathi audio-story app for children aged 2–9, made by Rohan Shukla in Melbourne, Australia. A parent sets it up; the child listens. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no analytics in the app. Questions: support.rascend@gmail.com.
What the app asks for
- The child's first name or a nickname (a parent can use a nickname), age, and whether the child is a boy or girl (Marathi grammar needs it).
- Optionally, the name written in Marathi letters, so Aaji can say it.
- Optionally, a story idea typed by the child or parent.
What happens to it
- It is saved on the phone so the app remembers the child. Stories and Aaji's voice recordings are saved there too, so they play offline.
- To make a new story, or to record Aaji saying the child's name in a ready-made story, the name, age, boy/girl and idea are sent to our story server (hosted on Supabase) and processed by Google Cloud (Vertex AI). We do not keep the child's name or idea on our server after the story is made, and server logs hide them. Google processes this under Google Cloud's terms and does not use it to train its models.
- Ready-made library stories do not send anything about the child.
- The app creates a random install ID. It is not linked to a name and is used to apply fair-use limits and to match a purchase to the install.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat, which receives the install ID and the purchase receipt so the right plan is unlocked. We never see payment card details.
- We do not sell data, share it for advertising, or build profiles of children.
- The app does not use the microphone, camera, contacts, photos or location.
Safety
The child cannot chat with the AI. The AI is only used to write a story and read it aloud. Ideas are checked for safety before and after, and unsafe ideas are declined. If a story is ever wrong or upsetting, please tell us at support.rascend@gmail.com and we will fix it.
Parent controls
- Delete everything: in Parent mode (behind a parent check), "सगळी माहिती काढून टाका" removes the child's name, stories, favourites and saved voices from the phone. Deleting the app does the same.

Children
The app is designed for children, with a parent in control of setup and purchases. We collect only what is needed to tell a story. We process a child's information only with a parent's consent, given when the parent sets the app up.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above and, for important changes, show a notice in Parent mode.
